"THE BIG RED CARS OF ORANGE”

       Long before today's interurban lines traversed Southern California, Orange also enjoyed street car transportation.

        Join the Orange Community Historical Society at 6:00 pm on FRIDAY JANUARY 16th for our Election meeting and Program as we view Eric Vogelvang's latest film on The Pacific Electric in Orange!  It will premiere at the historic Sonlight Christian Center at 172 N. Glassell Street.  Seasoned residents will remember it as The Orange Theater building, finished in the 1920s by Michael Eltiste.

         We will have a short meeting to elect our 2026 Board of Directors, enjoy a little film on the history of the Sonlight church, then on to an interesting short film researched and produced by local member Eric Vogelvang.  He combines dogged research on the PE Big Red Cars in Orange with a little computer generated magic to bring to life this interesting topic.  

         Please arrive in a timely fashion as seating is limited.  Note this meeting will commence on a FRIDAY night at 6:00 at Sonlight.  Attendees may want to make a night of it and enjoy dinner at a Plaza District restaurant."
